Michael Scholes has been an essential oils specialist & master botanical formulator, since 1987. He has over 100,000 hours of experience in essential oil research in all things aromatic. Michael divides his time between writing, lecturing, consulting, product development, treatment design, environmental fragrancing, and resourcing essential oils worldwide.
He is the owner of the Virginia-based Laboratory (Library) of Flowers offering beginners and professionals alike the opportunity to experience multiple varieties of organic, wild, rare, and precious essential oils, absolutes, and attars. These are personally chosen from multiple countries, growing regions, and extraction methods. It is here where you will find over 750 essential oils and 1750 formulations. This is one of the world's most comprehensive collections of essential oils, synergies, remedies, and customized formulations.
In addition, Michael is the owner of the sister company “Roll on Remedy” (rollonremedy.com). The focus here is on over 100 master life-changing formulations. When combined in a specific order, they can assist in a person’s recovery of most of what ails them throughout their life. Placed end to end it is a life’s journey of remedies chosen to find balance and joy through change. In addition, he has designed several luxury spa treatments and related products for the body, bath, skin, and hair. Michael also offers consultations plus Aroma + Therapy focusing on the source of a person’s challenges where he can suggest aromatic solutions in the form of essential oils, remedies, and lifestyle changes.
His philosophy is simple. To have daily uninterrupted use of essential oils applied using multiple sensory applications from the minute you wake until the end of your day and beyond.
