Malte Hozzel was born in Germany and received his Ph.D. in world literature and linguistics in 1979 from Ruperto Carola University, Heidelberg /Germany. As a disciple of the famous Indian Master Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and a teacher of Transcendental Meditation (TM), he has lectured on meditation and Vedic Science in various European and overseas countries since 1972.
In 1990, Malte, together with his wife, founded the essential oils company AYUS GmbH and its line OSHADHI with the goal:
● to create an international market for high-quality aromatherapy products,
● to align the knowledge of Aromatherapy and Western Medicine with the spiritual aspects of healing,
● to create a Center for Holistic Aromatherapy and spread the knowledge of essential oils via different international platforms.
Over the years, AYUS's products under its major brand OSHADHI have become one of the world's purest collections in the realm of aromatherapy, known to international experts for its wide range of rare species and organic essential oils and a large variety of other aromatherapy products including spa, cosmetics, and perfumery products which today comprise several lines distributed in over 40 countries.
Malte's aromatherapy classes and webinars and his international Association of Aromatherapy teachers (AHAM), as well as his participation in international congresses, have been spreading the knowledge of "Holistic Aromatherapy" systematically, taking into account all aspects of Medicinal plant knowledge: empirical–medicinal–scientific–ethnobotanical–spiritual. The Aromatherapy Seminar Center "Orto de Prouvènço" founded by Malte and his wife Véronique in 1995, situated on a property of 150 acres in the UNESCO-protected area of Mont Ventoux in High Provence/France also added to the international knowledge base.
Today, Malte's primary focus is on:
● teaching Holistic Aromatherapy classes worldwide for helping to develop a broader and more spiritual understanding of the amazing power of medicinal plant essences,
● expanding his company's global contacts through the development of new aromatherapy products and product lines,
● helping to spread the practical knowledge of Vedic Science, Yoga and Transcendental Meditation by participating in several humanitarian projects worldwide that aim to raise individual and collective consciousness through holistic spiritual knowledge and practice.
Malte has published numerous articles, blog posts, books and videos on the transformation of modern society and Holistic Aromatherapy.
