ELIANE ZIMMERMANN

Aromatherapist, Author, Educator

DAY 3

18/2/24

Eliane was born in Chile, grew up in Brazil and has a degree in graphic-design. She went through a training as a German Heilpraktiker (naturopath) in the late eighties and made her diploma in Aromatherapy at the Shirley Price College in 1990.

Before her two sons were born she had an aromatherapy clinic, during their childhood she founded and led the aromatherapy school AiDA Aromatherapy International. One of her scientific mentors was Prof. Dr. Dietrich Wabner (TU Munich). During the past three decades she enjoyed further education with Susanne Fischer-Rizzi, Martin Henglein, Patricia Davis, Dr. Daniel Penoël, Rodolphe Balz and many more European colleagues.

Eliane wrote one of the most comprehensive reference books about clinical aromatherapy (Aromatherapy für Pflege- und Heilberufe, 7th edition in 2022). Ten more books and the first German language blog about aromatherapy established her reputation as one of the most experienced instructors for all things clinical aromatherapy in the German language countries.

She moved to Southwest-Ireland in 2000 where she tends aromatic plants in a huge garden on a former farm by the sea. The region is known for its sub- tropical flora so she has enough “exotic materials” to illustrate her courses in aromatic botany.
